The Coolboy & District Tidy Towns Committee was formed in early 2009 and they entered the village into the National Tidy Towns competition in 2009 where they secured a mark of 210.

In 2010 the village scored 210 and won awards for Best Main Street and Best Kept Estate.

In 2011 the village scored 229 

In 2012 the village scored 235

In 2013 the village scored 245

In 2014 the village scored 251

Year on year our marks are increasing thanks to the help of the residents and volunteers.
